How Long Are You Going To Wait?

Jan 19
Seriously. How many more years are you going to spend believing the same tired nonsense that's keeping you mediocre?

That competition is good for you? That it raises standards? That you need to "crush it" and "dominate your market" - and treat every other agent like an enemy?

Never mind that you're playing an infinite game where the goal is longevity, relationships, trust - not quarterly wins. But sure, keep sharpening your elbows. I'm sure that will work out great for your reputation.

That following the same script as everyone else will somehow produce different results. Your 'trainer' said it works. Your broker's top-producer swears by it. Everyone at the conference nodded along. So, it must be true, right?  Conformity disguised as wisdom.

You're all drinking from the same polluted well and wondering why you feel sick. Drinking the KoolAid that stops you thinking for yourself.

That success is something you achieve
out there. More leads. Better CRM. Slicker marketing. A new head-shot. As if the right external formula will finally unlock what's been missing.

Spoiler: it won't.

Because success doesn't happen when you build a better facade. It happens when you stop hiding behind one.
Real success - the kind that actually lasts - comes from becoming your true, authentic self. Not the version you think the market wants. Not the persona your coach told you to adopt.

YOU. The person underneath all the performance anxiety & comparison. The person with a desperate need to fit in. To be accepted.

But that requires change. And change is uncomfortable. So, you'll procrastinate. You'll tell yourself "after the market shifts", or "when I have more time". Or worse, " when I see it working for others."

Meanwhile the clock is ticking.

Everything has impermanence. Your energy. Your patience. Your reputation. The trust you haven't built. The relationships you haven't nurtured because you were too busy competing.

Time doesn't care about your excuses.

Nature evolved through constant change. Species that adapted survived. Those that clung to old patterns went extinct. It's not complicated.

Apparently, Real Estate Is The Exception

The one industry where doing the same thing as every one else does, saying the same things everyone else says, and hoping for different results is considered a viable strategy.

It's not. And deep down, you know it.

So how long are you going to wait? How many more "just listed" posts are you going to share before your realize nobody cares?  How many more objection-handling scripts are you going to memorize before you accept that people don't want to be manipulated - they want to be understood?
