Probably the most misleading piece of advice you will ever hear – people first care about Who you are because they need to know whether they can trust you. If they don’t know, they will either guess, or hesitate.
They don’t need to hear about HOW good you are, at what you do. Or, about how many other people sing your praises. It’s subjective.
They need to hear it from you. About your values, beliefs and convictions.
It’s called transparency and it makes you vulnerable to the possibility of rejection.
But hey, that’s life. Not everybody is your customer.
